The MARTA transit agency is beginning the process of launching GPS enabled advertising on buses. As the bus travels the ads change based on where they are on the bus’s route and what time of day it is.
The ads can be programmed to show specific ads at exact locations coinciding with physical locations in the area. For example, a Starbucks ad can be displayed to the bus passengers while is in the area of a store, enticing riders and to become potential customers.
